Drop In Crafternoon: Alma Thomas Painting
Monday, February 10, 4-7 p.m.
Celebrate Black History Month by learning about artist Alma Thomas, who was the first African American woman to have a solo exhibition at New York’s Whitney Museum of American Art.
Kids ages 4-12, drop in the children’s room, see a few of Thomas’ paintings, read about her life, and paint your own magnets with paint markers in Thomas’ colorful, exuberant, abstract style. While supplies last.
