The Buena Park Library District offers a complimentary, fast Internet network for you to use with your own wireless-enabled device.
How to Connect
Connect to the LIBRARY-GUEST Wi-Fi network. If the Internet Use Policy page does not open automatically, open your web browser to display the page. You must accept the policy terms in order to fully connect to the LIBRARY-GUEST network.
Troubleshooting Steps
If you have trouble connecting to the LIBRARY-GUEST network, follow the steps below to troubleshoot your device.
- Forget the LIBRARY-GUEST hotspot in your settings. Repeat the steps in the "How To Connect" section above.
- Troubleshooting Step 1 does not work, restart your device and retry step
- If Troubleshooting Step 2 does not work, verify you meet the hardware and software requirements below.
Hardware Requirements
- Any laptop, notebook computer, netbook, tablet, or smartphone that is Wi-Fi enabled
- Device must have 802.11a, 802.11g, or 802.11n based Ethernet capability
Software Requirements
Set your device to obtain an IP address automatically and obtain addresses automatically from a server (DHCP). Leave all other fields blank. Restart the laptop for the changes to take effect.

Disclaimers & Service Limitations
The Library's Wi-Fi network is not secure. Information sent to or from your device can be captured by anyone with a wireless device and the appropriate software, within three hundred feet.
Library staff is not able to provide technical assistance and no guarantee can be provided that you will be able to make a wireless connection.
The Library assumes no responsibility for the safety of equipment or for laptop configurations, security, or data files resulting from connection to the Library's network.
Wi-Fi printing is not available at this time.
Other Ways to Connect to the Internet
If you are unable to connect your device to our Wi-Fi network and have a library card, you can use your library card barcode to access a public computer in the Computer Center.
If you are unable to connect and do not have a library card, the Reference Desk can give you a guest pass for a public computer.
