Dr. Richard Rams (“Rick”) is currently serving his second consecutive term as Buena Park Library Trustee. Originally elected in 2018, Dr. Rams is a dedicated public servant who has also served as the Buena Park Library District Board President and Secretary. He believes that public libraries play a critical role in connecting communities, providing free educational resources to the public, and preserving truth and history. Since 2000, Dr. Rams has spent his professional career serving as an educator and higher education administrator. As a proud resident of Buena Park and Orange County, Dr. Rams also currently serves as Chair of the North Orange County Community College District Measure J Citizens Oversight Committee. This committee is responsible for the oversight of the $574 million bond that supports Fullerton College, Cypress College, and North Orange Continuing Education. In his spare time, Dr. Rams enjoys spending time with his family and his golden retriever, Rambo.
